Uhh...This is just meant as some feedback, so don't take it really personally but I doubt anyone is going to want to pay for your art.

To be honest, it's pretty bad.

Maybe get some practice, possibly do some free commissions first to touch up your skills a bit before you start charging people?

I am going to agree with the 2 above.

Your drawings are simple and you are overcharging.. Id say keep practicing first and then start charging people and dont charge so much in the beginning.

Dont think anyone would get a commission for you this way.

A couple [this excludes Impulsa-I think I spelt that right!] of you guys were in a way trying to dis-encourage me! And that's one of the few things I really hate! If you actually LOOKED PROPERLY at my DA page you would've realised I put one important word on 4 of my 5 deviantations-however-you-spell-them=SKETCHES! Not my actual proper drawings! Samus & Dark Samus wasn't a sketch, it was just a weird idea I had in mind and wanted to draw it, so that was like an experiment.
It's not that they are sketches or not. And no one was trying to discourage (not dis-encourage) you. By looking at the progress, you could improve. Heck, I'm not that much better of an artist myself (I only do it by hand, mind you - and others say I am good but meh!).

As much as I'd hate to do this: QQ moar, welcome to the interwebz. You'll get trolled and insulted anywhere unless you are above average. As a mod, I'll try to keep that to a minimum, but the posts were not insulting you but simply stating their opinion as constructive criticism. If you want my advice, I say continue with freebies for a while so you get more practice. Not everyone can even be an artist, and just about no one starts out as a prodigy.

You're not the first to complain about constructive criticism, and you won't be the last sadly.

As for everyone reading this long post-sorry about that rant, but I just had to get it off my chest. I've changed the prices for now but hey, like I said, nobody's perfect and I never was good with prices. Thanks guys!

No one cares about your real life issues on an internet forum, don't use some QQ excuse just because we're pointing out that your drawings are less than average. Seriously, if you ever plan on becoming serious about art you're going to need to toughen up a tiny bit and be able to take super negative comments.

Everyone that's posted so far posts a lot in the forum, and gets commissions done fairly often. They know the value of art, and what can and can't make it in this forum. They pointed out in a negative way that, you're probably not going to get a lot of customers especially with the attitude that you have.

You should probably loosely trace peoples drawings to get an idea of anatomy/poses, take a class, or just read a ton of tutorials and practice practice practice. I'm no where near what I consider a "Good" artist, but I have a pretty good idea about anatomy and where things should be. It's refreshing to see people like you who continue to try and keep doing posing. If for some reason I think I can't draw it, I don't. Which is probably why I suck. I think your woman is a tiny bit wide, but hey my women are drawn with huuuggeee hips. It's just a style thing. Maybe you can make it work.

Consider signing up for Deviantart.com and searching for tutorials. Manga Academy has a lot of references that really helped me. http://www.drawspace.com/ Drawspace is really good, so is http://posemaniacs.com/ Posemaniacs.

Also, for poses and stuff, I'd take a look at SenshiStock's stuff on deviantart. They take a lot of photos in tons of different poses, and they're usually clothed in just underwear so you can see how the body works in those different poses.

At the risk of sounding like a huge ass...

First thing you might want to do if you want to be treated with a minimal amount of respect: stop tracing other people's art and calling it your own.

I already said this in your freebie thread, but the post got deleted (?). A "sketch" is not typing some character's name into Google image search, then downloading it and tracing it over. There are a lot of things that annoys me, but stealing other people's art and calling it your own is just unacceptable.

Since my post was deleted, I was just going to let the matter drop. However, not only did you treat the people trying to help you like idiots, you gave us a bunch of crap excuses. There are plenty of artists I know who are having problems in RL, but never have I seen them try to sell art by giving excuses.

If you think I am trying to "dis-encourage" you, you probably are right. But you will never get anywhere if you can be discouraged by random people on the internet. Do what you want with your thread, but for heaven's sakes, STOP TRACING.

A lot of posts have been being deleted.
This thread has a lot of potential for drama :|

Also, I agree on the part about tracing. It's a lot better (and you feel more accomplished) if you learn and memorize anatomy so that you can draw wherever whenever, instead of being reliant on ref pics.

Reference pictures are fine. There is nothing wrong with using references when you need them, especially when you are starting out. I as well as many real industry professionals regularly use references when working with strange foreshortened poses. It gives better and more accurate results. What pisses me off though is LITERALLY overlaying someone else's ART and tracing over it.

It's theft, both intellectually and physically.

wording fail at the end of my last post, sorry about that p:

and yeah I use ref pics for weird poses too.

knowing anatomy by heart > using ref pics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> tracing

Kind of unsure of what to do with these posts. They would be better off in the Artists' Discovery Thread as tips for beginning artists. And as such, I want to remove them from here. But just moving the posts to the thread will make them confusing due to the sudden (and mixed) topic change. Ehhhhhh *let's Unlucky decide*

Not often I'll request this, but I think it's obvious I'm not gonna get any commissions. Mods/Admins/whoever locks topics-can you lock this topic please? Thanks.
